BEIJING – A new foreign investment law will ease restrictions on foreign investors and grant them easier access to the Chinese market, the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said on Monday.
According to water-technology.net, Siemens Energy recently won a contract from Sinopec Jiujiang Petrochemical Company to supply its refinery with a wastewater treatment system.
The Chinese PV manufacturer has supplied 15 MW of modules for the Longyangxia Dam project, which has become the world’s largest PV and Hydro installation.
The project that started in March this year is expected to deliver 498 million kWh of PV electricity to the grid each year. The Longyangxia Dam is 178 meters high and supports a 1.28 GW power station.
Wind power accounted for 95 percent of approved power projects in China. NDRC approved 131 power projects in the first half of 2012. China Huadian Corporation topped the five major power groups with 32 of the approved projects.
