Recently, Bloomberg New Energy Finance announced the top 10 new installed capacity rankings for global wind power manufacturers in 2022, with Chinese companies occupying 6 of them.
In 2022, the new installed capacity of global wind power was 85.7GW, a decrease of 15% compared to 2021. The installed capacity of onshore wind power was 76.6GW, a year-on-year decrease of 9%; The installed capacity of offshore wind power was 9.1GW, down 46% year-on-year.
Goldwind Technology ranks first with an installed capacity of 12.7GW, becoming the first Chinese complete machine manufacturer to increase its installed capacity to the top of the world. Vestas ranked second with a slight gap of 400 MW, while General Electric and Vision Energy ranked third and fourth, respectively. Siemens Gamesa and Mingyang Intelligent both ranked fifth, with installed capacity of 6.8GW in 2022, followed by Yunda Co., Ltd., which ranked seventh.
Chinese enterprises occupy six of the top ten complete machine manufacturers. In 2022, as China’s offshore wind power officially entered the era of parity, the installed capacity of offshore wind power plummeted. Sany Heavy Energy and CRRC replaced Electric Wind Power and Dongfang Electric, which accounted for a relatively high proportion of offshore wind power installed in the past, to become the ninth and tenth largest manufacturers of wind power in the world.
