With the continuous decline of offshore wind turbine prices and the gradual reduction of construction costs, offshore wind power will usher in explosive growth in the 14th five year plan period!

Shandong  Province has developed offshore wind power, with a total planned installed capacity of more than 35 million KW

The 2022 Energy  Shandong working document issued by Energy Administration of  Shandong Province points out that in 2022, the total installed capacity of electric power will reach about 180 million KW, and the installed capacity of new and renewable energy power generation will exceed 70 million KW, accounting for about 38%. Among them, the construction of offshore wind power base is regarded as one of the five key tasks. The document clearly organizes and implements the development plan of offshore wind power in Shandong Province, The total planned scale is 35 million kilowatts. Focus on promoting the construction of projects with more than 5 million kW in Bozhong and the south of the peninsula, and complete the grid connection of 2 million KW. Strive to bring the 7.6 million KW site into the national far-reaching offshore wind power planning.

Shandong’s offshore wind power started late, but it is rich in wind energy resources. With the gradual popularity of Shandong’s offshore wind power market, a number of central energy enterprises have arranged in succession, which has also attracted many equipment / equipment enterprises, and the prototype of the whole wind power industry chain has emerged. At present, enterprises such as state power investment, national energy group, China Nuclear Huineng, China Guangdong nuclear power, Shanghai Electric, China haizhuang, Dongfang Electric and Mingyang intelligent have settled in Shandong to establish industrial parks or sign strategic agreements with local governments.
