On May 9, the National Energy Administration reported the completion of the weight of renewable energy power consumption responsibility in 2021.By the end of December 2021, the cumulative installed capacity of renewable energy power generation in China was 1.06 billion kw, accounting for 44.8% of the total installed capacity, including 391 million kw of hydropower, 328 million kw of wind power, 306 million kw of solar power and 37.98 million kw of biomass power. In 2021, the installed capacity of hydropower, wind power, solar power and biomass power increased by 23.49 million KW, 47.57 million KW, 54.88 million KW and 8.08 million KW respectively. In 2021, the national renewable energy power generation reached 24853 billion kwh, including 1340.1 billion kwh of hydropower, 655.6 billion kwh of wind power, 325.9 billion kwh of solar power and 163.7 billion kwh of biomass power.

In 2021, the national minimum renewable energy power consumption responsibility weight was issued to be 29.4%. The actual completion value in 2021 was 29.4%, with a year-on-year increase of 0.6 percentage points compared with that in 2020, which was the same as the minimum total consumption responsibility weight of 29.4% issued in 2021.

According to the circular, in addition to the exemption of the examination in Tibet Autonomous Region, 28 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government) have completed the minimum total renewable energy power consumption responsibility weight specified in No. 704, of which 13 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government) have reached the incentive value, and Gansu and Xinjiang have not completed the minimum total renewable energy power consumption responsibility weight, with a difference of 2.6 and 1.8 percentage points respectively.

In 2021, the national minimum renewable energy power non-water consumption responsibility weight is 12.9%. The actual completion value in 2021 was 13.7%, with a year-on-year increase of 2.3 percentage points compared with 2020, exceeding the minimum non-water consumption responsibility weight issued in 2021 by 0.8 percentage points.

According to the circular, 29 provinces have completed the minimum non-aqueous renewable energy power consumption responsibility weight determined by civilization No. 704, of which 19 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government) have reached the incentive value; Xinjiang has not completed the minimum renewable energy power non water consumption responsibility weight, with a difference of 0.6 percentage points.
