NDRC: Accelerate the development of renewable energy, and promote wind power and solar power generation to generate more and more power at full capacity and use up all energy
On July 14, the National Development and Reform Commission(NDRC) held a media briefing on the economic situation in the first half of the year. Li Yunqing, director of the operation Bureau of the national development and Reform Commission, said at the meeting that he would speed up the development of renewable energy sources and promote wind power and solar power to generate more and more electricity and use up all the energy. Vigorously promote the construction of large-scale wind power photovoltaic bases focusing on deserts, Gobi and desert areas. At present, the first batch of projects have been started with more than 95million KW.
Li Yunqing pointed out that ensuring the security and stable supply of energy is crucial to stabilizing growth, employment and prices. Since this year, the energy supply and demand has been generally stable. Affected by the growth of power consumption in key industries and the rise of temperature, the national daily power generation has risen rapidly since the beginning of the summer. On July 13, the national dispatching power generation reached 27.854 billion kwh, and the maximum dispatching load reached 1.222 billion kw, both reaching a record high, and the demand for energy has rebounded significantly.
According to Li, the national development and Reform Commission, together with all relevant parties, will conscientiously implement the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, coordinate development and security, strengthen comprehensive coordination, strengthen scheduling balance, pay close attention to the implementation of measures, and spare no effort to do a good job in energy supply protection in summer.
First, we will continue to improve our ability to ensure resources. Organize all coal producing provinces and regions to actively tap the potential for increasing production and effectively release advanced production capacity on the premise of ensuring safe, clean and efficient utilization. From January to may, the national coal output was 1.81 billion tons, with a year-on-year increase of 10.4%. Since June, it has maintained a high output level. Further improve the power generation capacity. So far, the installed power generation capacity in China has reached 2.44 billion kw. The scale of unplanned outages and output disruptions of coal-fired power has fallen to the lowest level in many years, and the peak output of gas-fired power generation has increased significantly. Significant results were achieved in increasing oil and gas reserves and production. From January to may, the national crude oil output was 85.69 million tons, an increase of 4.1% year-on-year; Natural gas production was 92.4 billion cubic meters, an increase of 5.8% year-on-year.
