China’s first “offshore wind power + marine pasture” demonstration area have results! Create a world-wide pioneer in anti typhoon aquaculture
Mingyang Group completed the first fish harvest in Guangdong Yangjiang Shaba deep-sea fishery and aquaculture Experimental Zone, which also marks the successful innovative practice of China’s first “offshore wind power + marine pasture” demonstration zone, creates a precedent for the world’s far-reaching anti typhoon aquaculture, and will lead the three-dimensional integration and development of China’s marine energy and the high-quality development of the marine economy.
Compared with the conventional offshore golden pomfret, the deep-sea cage golden pomfret has a shorter breeding cycle, solid meat and more delicious taste. With the highly integrated processing flow and full coverage of the cold chain, you can walk into thousands of households and onto the people’s table within 24 hours.
“We have developed an asymmetric cage anchoring system to encrypt the anchor cables in the direction of the typhoon, so as to ensure the safety of the cage and reduce the construction cost of the cage.” Wu Di, director of the marine technology office of Mingyang group, introduced that the Yangjiang Shaba test net cage equipment was independently developed and designed by Mingyang. It broke through a number of core technologies, has completely independent intellectual property rights, and can withstand up to 18 typhoons. It is a major breakthrough in the independent design and development of far-reaching marine fishery breeding equipment in China.
It is reported that the cage was installed and the fish fry were put into operation in August 2021. During this period, it experienced the impact test of many typhoons such as “lion mountain”, and the cage was in good safety and operation status. The whole breeding test process was very smooth. Mingyang successfully obtained valuable wind and fishery integration test data and explored a high-quality development model of marine economy that can be replicated and popularized as “offshore wind power + marine pasture”.
