China’s first 12MW offshore wind turbine has been lifted!
Recently, the installation of the first 12 MW offshore wind turbine in China has been completed at the Sihai Wind Farm in Qingzhou, Yangjiang City, and the installation of large wind turbines in this section has entered the stage of hoisting.
It is reported that the 12 MW offshore wind turbine installed in the Sihai Wind Farm in Qingzhou uses MySE12 MW semi direct drive offshore unit of Mingyang Intelligent. The unit is customized, designed and developed for typhoon areas such as Guangdong and Fujian in China, and can withstand the Super Typhoon of 78.82 meters per second. At the rated wind speed, the unit can generate 25 degrees of electricity when the impeller rotates one circle, and the single machine can output 45 million degrees of electricity every year to meet the annual electricity demand of 23000 families, reduce 15000 tons of coal consumption, reduce 38000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, and achieve higher power generation efficiency in similar units. At the same time, the MySE 12 MW offshore unit is small in size and lightweight, making it easy to transport and lift, and has higher overall economic efficiency.
The successful installation of a 12 megawatt offshore wind turbine will help improve the efficiency of sea area utilization and enhance the overall effectiveness of the project. In a 1 million kilowatt project, 125 units are needed for 8 megawatt units and only 84 units are needed for 12 megawatt units, reducing the number of units by about one-third and saving over 30% of the sea area; The basic cost of the entire site has been reduced by 24%, the tower cost has been reduced by 27%, and the overall cost has been reduced by more than 25%. In addition, due to the reduction of aircraft positions, the wake has decreased by 3% -4%, and due to the improvement of wind capture efficiency of large units, the overall power generation has increased by more than 5%.
It is worth mentioning that the blades used in the MySE 12 MW semi direct drive offshore unit are 111.5 meters long and independently developed, designed and manufactured by Mingyang Intelligent. It is the longest typhoon resistant offshore blade in Asia, equivalent to the length of the fuselage of three C919 aircraft. It is mainly developed for offshore affordable projects and is suitable for super Class I wind zones. In addition to being longer, the 111.5 meter blades of Mingyang Intelligent are also smarter. This blade adopts a high-performance airfoil family, which not only ensures excellent aerodynamic efficiency of the blades but also reduces their weight, effectively improving their adaptability to complex marine environments.
