CEEC’s first offshore wind power project has been approved
Recently, the Development and Reform Commission of Fujian Province issued a document approving the construction of the Pingtan Area A offshore wind farm project, marking the first offshore wind power project invested by China Energy Construction Corporation to be approved for “going into the sea”.
The project site is located in the sea area on the north side of Pingtan Island, Fujian Province, with a planned sea area of 42 Square kilometre and an installed capacity of 450 megawatts. It is planned to simultaneously build an offshore 220 kV booster station and an onshore centralized control center. After the completion of the project, it will further promote the adjustment of local energy structure, optimize the local power grid structure, and effectively promote the sustainable development of local society and economy.
The China Energy Construction Pingtan A Zone Offshore Wind Power Project is located in the northern sea area of Pingtan Island, Fujian Province. The planned capacity of the project is 450MW, and 38 sets of 12MW wind turbines are planned to be installed. The project will be connected to the 220kV sea rising voltage station through multiple 38/66kV submarine cables, and then connected to the Fuzhou power grid through 220kV submarine cables after boosting.
