Asian Development Bank (ADB) – Water Projects
Asian Development Bank (ADB)’s “Water for all” vision
Water is key to driving down poverty and driving up development. Accessible and safe water supplies improve people’s health and save them time, which they can use to study, or improve their livelihoods. Improved sanitation, on the other hand, protects them from socially and physically degrading surroundings, health risks, and exposure to dangerous environmental conditions.
These water challenges require massive financing well beyond the capacity of individual countries and institutions. ADB’s water funding facilities, the Cooperation Fund for the Water Sector (CFWS) and the Water Financing Partnership Facility (WFPF), help address these challenges in the Asia-Pacific region.
