The National Energy Administration recently held a video conference on the analysis of the development and construction of renewable energy nationwide. Ren Zhiwu, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the National Energy Administration, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The chief engineer of the Bureau Xiang Haiping chaired the meeting.

Focusing on promoting the development and utilization of renewable energy in 2022, the meeting listened to the implementation of the opinions and suggestions put forward in the previous monthly situation analysis meeting, the latest development of renewable energy in China and the construction progress of major projects, analyzed the situation and problems faced by the development of renewable energy, and studied and proposed relevant measures and suggestions.

Qinghai Provincial Energy Bureau introduced the experience and practice of building a national clean energy industry highland with “source network, load storage”, and relevant provincial energy authorities reported the rectification and implementation of the first batch of large-scale wind power photovoltaic bases with “project approval” issues.

The meeting pointed out that with the joint efforts of the whole industry, the development of renewable energy in China has maintained steady and rapid growth. In the first three quarters of this year, 90.36 million kilowatts of new installed capacity of renewable energy in China, accounting for 78.8% of the new installed capacity of power generation in China; China’s renewable energy power generation capacity is 1.94 trillion kWh, accounting for 31.1% of the country’s power generation capacity; The national reserve of renewable energy power generation projects under construction is sufficient; The utilization rate of hydropower in major river basins nationwide is 98.6%, the average utilization rate of wind power is 96.5%, and the average utilization rate of photovoltaic power generation is 98.2%.

The meeting stressed that the construction of large-scale scenic bases should be done well. Further promote the construction of the first and second batch of large-scale wind power photovoltaic base projects, renewable energy projects among 102 major projects in the “Fourteenth Five Year Plan”, and renewable energy projects specified in the “Fourteenth Five Year Plan” for national economic and social development.
