On April 24, the national development and Reform Commission issued Order No. 50 of 2022, announcing the administrative measures for electric power reliability (Provisional), which was deliberated and adopted at the 19th executive meeting of the national development and Reform Commission on November 23, 2021. The management measures shall come into force as of June 1, 2022.

The measures propose that large-scale wind, solar and other renewable energy power generation enterprises in desert, Gobi and desert areas should establish an appropriate power reliability management system, strengthen the reliability management of systems and equipment, and prevent large-scale disconnection from affecting the stable operation of the power grid.
