2023-2024 Wind Power Construction Plan of Hunan Province Launched
Hunan Provincial Development and Reform Commission recently issued the Notice on Soliciting Opinions on the Target of New Wind Power and Centralized PV Installation and Submitting Investment Plans. According to the document, according to the lowest expected weight of non water renewable energy consumption in Hunan in 2023 and 2024, it is estimated that the scale of new wind power in Hunan in 2023 will be 2.25 million kilowatts, and the scale of new photovoltaic installed capacity will be 3.4 million kilowatts; In 2024, Hunan will add 3.3 million kilowatts of wind power and 3 million kilowatts of photovoltaic installed capacity.
The Plan specifies that by 2025, the proportion of non fossil energy consumption will reach about 22%, and the reduction of energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP will ensure the completion of the national targets, laying a solid foundation for achieving the carbon peak target.
By 2030, the proportion of non fossil energy consumption will reach about 25%, the reduction of energy consumption and carbon emissions per unit of GDP will meet the national targets, and the goal of carbon peaking by 2030 will be successfully achieved.
The Plan proposes to focus on the implementation of the “Top Ten Actions of Carbon Peak”, including green low-carbon transformation of energy, coordinated carbon reduction of energy conservation and pollution reduction, carbon peak in industrial areas, urban and rural construction, green low-carbon transportation, resource recycling to help reduce carbon, green low-carbon scientific and technological innovation, carbon sink capacity consolidation and improvement, green low-carbon national action, green financial support, etc.
