China’s State Power Investment Co. Ltd. Consolidates Relations with Tecnatom


On November the 28th, the president and general secretary of China’s State Power Investment, Qian Zhimin, signed a contract with the GM of the Spanish Tecnatom, Javier Guerra.

According to the press release from the Chinese National Nuclear Security Administration on the 3rd of December, the contract served to reaffirm the bilateral intent for future collaborations in the field of renewable energy.

According to the contract, both organizations would work closely together in the fields of nuclear power, renewable energy and the expansion of third-party market, starting with the co-hosting of staff training programmes and the mutual provision of technological support.

At the signing ceremony, Qian Zhimin pointed out that Tecnatom was a corporation famed for its technological advancement and creativity, whose business and corporate interest could be seen as highly supplementary to those of State Power Investment. Reciprocally, Javier Guerra gave positive assessment to the professionalism and efficiency of SPI’s negotiation, administrative execution and internal technical verification processes. He added that Tecnatom had kept a highly co-operative relationship with SPI with communicative and financial channels open in various industries of renewable energy.

During his visit to Spain, Qian Zhimin also had an extensive exchange with Marcus Tucker, the CEO of Siemens Gamesa, regarding the planning, construction and maintenance of both inland and offshore wind farms.
