China Three Gorges Rudong H6 Offshore Wind Farm completes turbine installation!

At 22:58 on September 25th, China Three Gorges Rudong H6 Offshore Wind Farm completed the installation of all 100 wind turbines 50 km offshore in Rudong County, Jiangsu Province, with the precise docking of the last blade and wheel hub. This is another solid step towards the goal of reaching full capacity grid connection by 2021.

On July 26, 2020, the first turbine was installed for the China Three Gorges H6 offshore wind farm in Rudong, Jiangsu province. In the following 14 months, the project team overcame the adverse impact of COVID-19 and other difficulties, taking various measures to complete all the fan installation tasks of the project with excellent quality and perseverance.

In 2021, China Three Gorges Jiangsu Branch has undertaken the construction task of three offshore wind projects in Jiangsu with a total installed capacity of 1.1 million kW. The completion of the Rudong H6 project takes the lead in the full capacity grid connection of the Jiangsu Branch. The project team will continually strive to achieve the goal of full capacity grid connection by 2021.
