NEEC at the China (Fujian) – Norway Environmental Protection Technology Fair
The Norwegian Energy and Environment Consortium (NEEC) co-hosted with the Fujian Provincial Department of Environmental Protection, Foreign Affairs Office of Fujian Provincial People’s Government, Royal Norwegian Consulate General in Guangzhou, Innovation Norway and Fujian Association of Environmental Protection Industry, the ‘China (Fujian) – Norway Environmental Protection Technology Fair’.
The fair took place in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, on the 19th and 20th of June, and included a one day seminar at the 15th China Cross-Straits Technology and Projects Fair and a company visit to Newland Environmental Protection Technology Company.
The seminar included speakers from more than ten Norwegian and Chinese organizations and attracted more than 230 participants. It was opened by Mr. Chen Ning, Deputy Director of the Fujian Provincial Department of Environmental Protection, and Mr. Espen Rikter-Svendsen, Consul General of Norway in South China, who shared their experiences and future vision of Sino-Norway relations and collaborations. This was followed by Norwegian and Chinese water and waste companies presenting their businesses and how their companies could provide solutions for the Chinese market, and included speakers such as Dr. Zuliang LIAO, Vice President for Business Development, Cambi Group AS. After lunch, participants had the opportunity to have one-to-meetings with the presenting companies and discuss potential business opportunities.
Company visit to Newland’s Headquarters
On the 20th of June, a visit to Newland’s headquarters was arranged. Newland is a Chinese high-tech manufacturer of environmental protection equipment, oxidation technology solutions, ozone generators and UV disinfection equipment. During the visit the delegation got a deeper insight into the company’s products and vision, as well as the opportunity to discuss the potential for business opportunities and collaborations.
